Spend less, travel more … right?! If you like to make your vacation travel dollar stretch, then like us, you might discover yourself thinking about a getaway plan promotional offer. Know that these promotional vacation plan business are not at all equal.
After the pulled down of our recent stay at the Cancun all inclusive through Premier Travel Resorts, I just got off the phone from attempting to reserve the rest of our vacation bundle with them (some time in Florida). Let’s just state that will not be happening. We are simply going to forget and consume the expense about it.
From here on out, we will be scheduling vacation packages through BookVIP. If you click over to their site, you will see that it is complete of the least expensive vacation packages to some of the most popular locations.
Our first ever all inclusive experience was with BookVIP and it was incredible. Perhaps the Dreams spoiled us.
One quick note … We have actually only used BookVIP one time, at one high-end resort in Cancun. Reasoning tells me that not every resort getaway package is going to provide a similar experience. It truly is all going to boil down to the research study you put in.
Is booking Very Important Person a timeshare?
Looking into the homes offered on BookVIP can be a little bit of a challenge. They do not promote the actual name of the resorts. Instead, they utilize fake names. But if you really wish to sleuth out the place you will be staying a little bit of investigative deal with Google to compare the images will expose the true identity of the property you are thinking about. We didn’t bother going that far. There was plenty of details on the BookVIP site to help us feel comfy with making our booking.
You understand ahead of time if the dates you want to travel are readily available. There is time to compare the dining establishments and features. This is a huge contrast to the marketing holiday package sales calls I will talk about in the next area.
When you are ready to make your booking with BookVIP, simply be prepared for a couple of additional resort charges and taxes. In our case, part of the extra charge was to cover tips for the resort personnel.
OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS Other Companies Like Bookvip
In contrast to BookVIP, our experience with Premier Travel Resorts (out of Florida) was not the very best. If this had been our first experience, we likely would not have participated in another advertising deal. It was that bad.
Are you on the calling lists? After our very first advertising resort stay, we began getting phone calls providing getaway plans to various locations. That is how we ended up with a holiday plan including our latest Cancun all inclusive plus a couple brief remain in Florida and somewhere else.
These travel sales calls are always a high-pressure circumstance unless you simply hang up. Say no enough times and they will keep dropping the cost to where it really sounds like a good offer. There isn’t much time to research the getaway residential or commercial properties they are offering.
They drew us in with a remain in Cancun (which is convenient for us because of the proximity to Belize) and a long time in Florida (hey there, sailboat shopping!). We pulled the trigger and purchased a plan. Using it, that is a whole various story.
Premier Travel Resorts does not make it easy to really utilize the vacation time. There is a lot of fine print that makes travel planning really tough and possibly a lot more costly. They don’t expose these details throughout the sales call.
THIS IS WHAT YOU MUST BE PREPARED FOR …
You can only just book dates 45-90 days ahead of time if YOU PURCHASE A TRIP PACKAGE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS. Okay, fair enough.
However, when you contact us to ask for your preferred dates, they require you to complete a long type needing all the information that they already have. You then need to wait about a week to see if your dates are even available. Unless your travel plans will only consist of your stay at their resort, this makes planning the rest of your travel really troublesome.
Planning economical flights, or available Airbnb remains in combination with your Premier Travel Resorts holiday plan is really tough. In our case, the Airbnb we wanted to remain at after our remain at the resort was scheduled by the time Premier Travel Resorts got back to us.
Our bundle included a stay in Orlando and a stay in Daytona Beach. Premier Travel Resorts requires that those stays be back to back or 1 month apart. So, in our case, utilizing them on either end of a service journey we had actually planned was not enabled.
We utilized the Cancun part of our holiday plan, however we will not be using the rest of it.
THE BAIT AND SWITCH CANCUN ‘ALL INCLUSIVE’ THROUGH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS
You see, they put us up, not in one of the high-end homes that they desired to offer us on, but rather at their ‘cemetary resort’. Seriously, that is what the people at the good property told us they called it.
The one dining establishment that was consisted of in our ‘all inclusive’ (if you overlook the air conditioner dripping into our food) was really a good experience. They altered up the menu every night, featuring foods from different parts of Mexico. And very ready to assist us with our Spanish.
When over the shock of the distinction in the kind of location we believed we would be staying, we made the most of it. And selected up our rental car a couple days early to go off and check out the location.
THE SALES PITCH
Both BookVIP and Premier Travel Resorts need that you go to a 90-120 minute sales pitch to get their discounted costs. No biggie. We feel like that is worth it.
Premier Travel Resorts, however, needs that you participate in a marketing discussion throughout each stay. When they sold us the package, this is different from what we were told. A two-hour sales pitch when you are remaining someplace for only two nights is a big piece of time. They sold us four various stays, that suggests as much as 8 hours of moderately high-pressure sales! No thanks.
OK, THAT’S IT FOR MY RANT
