Spend less, take a trip more … right?! If you like to make your getaway travel dollar stretch, then like us, you might discover yourself thinking about a getaway bundle promotional deal. Know that these promotional trip plan business are not at all equivalent.
After the let down of our current remain at the Cancun all inclusive through Premier Travel Resorts, I just got off the phone from attempting to book the rest of our getaway plan with them (some time in Florida). Let’s simply say that will not be taking place. We are just going to forget and consume the expense about it.
From here on out, we will be reserving trip packages through BookVIP. If you click over to their website, you will see that it is full of the most inexpensive vacation packages to some of the most popular locations.
Our very first ever all inclusive experience was with BookVIP and it was remarkable. Perhaps the Dreams ruined us.
One quick note … We have just utilized BookVIP one time, at one luxury resort in Cancun. Logic tells me that not every resort getaway plan is going to offer a similar experience. It actually is all going to come down to the research you put in.
Is booking Very Important Person a timeshare?
They do not advertise the actual name of the resorts. If you truly want to sleuth out the location you will be staying a bit of investigative work on Google to match up the photos will expose the true identity of the property you are considering. There was plenty of details on the BookVIP site to assist us feel comfortable with making our booking.
What we enjoy about reserving with BookVIP? You are on your own schedule. No sales calls, no pressure. When you have actually done your research and you are prepared, reserve. You will know what you are getting. You understand ahead of time if the dates you want to travel are offered. There is time to compare the amenities and restaurants. This is a big contrast to the advertising trip plan sales calls I will speak about in the next area.
When you are ready to make your appointment with BookVIP, simply be prepared for a couple of extra resort charges and taxes. In our case, part of the additional charge was to cover tips for the resort personnel.
OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS Facebook Bookvip.Com
In contrast to BookVIP, our experience with Premier Travel Resorts (out of Florida) was not the very best. If this had actually been our first experience, we highly likely would not have actually participated in another marketing deal. It was that bad.
Are you on the calling lists? After our very first promotional resort stay, we started getting phone calls providing getaway packages to various destinations. That is how we wound up with a holiday bundle including our latest Cancun all inclusive plus a couple brief stays in Florida and elsewhere.
These travel sales calls are always a high-pressure circumstance unless you simply hang up. Say no enough times and they will keep dropping the cost to where it really seems like a bargain. If they catch your interest and you choose to acquire, it is required that you do so before the end of the call. There isn’t much time to investigate the holiday properties they are providing. You might have a couple of seconds to rapidly bring up some photos however that has to do with it. An image deserves a thousand words, but not worth almost as much as being able to read a few reviews.
They drew us in with a remain in Cancun (which is convenient for us because of the distance to Belize) and some time in Florida (hi, sailboat shopping!). We pulled the trigger and purchased a package. Utilizing it, that is an entire different story.
Premier Travel Resorts does not make it simple to in fact use the vacation time. There is a lot of small print that makes travel planning extremely hard and potentially a lot more costly. They don’t reveal these information throughout the sales call.
THIS IS WHAT YOU MUST BE PREPARED FOR …
You can only just book dates 45-90 days ahead of time if YOU PURCHASE A TRIP BUNDLE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS. Okay, reasonable enough.
When you call to ask for your favored dates, they require you to fill out a long form requiring all the info that they currently have. You then have to wait about a week to see if your dates are even available. Unless your travel plans will only consist of your stay at their resort, this makes planning the rest of your travel really troublesome.
Planning inexpensive flights, or offered Airbnb remains in combination with your Premier Travel Resorts holiday package is really difficult. In our case, the Airbnb we wished to stay at after our remain at the resort was booked by the time Premier Travel Resorts returned to us.
Our package consisted of a stay in Orlando and a stay in Daytona Beach. Premier Travel Resorts requires that those stays be back to back or 30 days apart. In our case, utilizing them on either end of a company journey we had prepared was not allowed.
We utilized the Cancun portion of our vacation plan, but we will not be using the rest of it.
THE BAIT AND SWITCH CANCUN ‘ALL INCLUSIVE’ THROUGH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS
The space was filthy, the toilet was broken, the lights flickered, which is just the beginning. You see, they put us up, not in among the luxury homes that they wanted to sell us on, but rather at their ‘cemetary resort’. Seriously, that is what the men at the great home told us they called it. Genuine.
The one dining establishment that was consisted of in our ‘all inclusive’ (if you overlook the air conditioner leaking into our food) was in fact a great experience. They altered up the menu every night, including foods from different parts of Mexico. And very ready to assist us with our Spanish.
Once over the shock of the difference in the sort of location we believed we would be staying, we took advantage of it. We fulfilled some nice people. Ate some fantastic food. Took some great walks on the golf course. And got our rental car a couple days early to go off and explore the area.
THE SALES PITCH
Both BookVIP and Premier Travel Resorts require that you go to a 90-120 minute sales pitch to get their affordable costs. No biggie. We feel like that is worth it.
Premier Travel Resorts, nevertheless, needs that you attend a marketing discussion during each stay. This is various from what we were told when they offered us the plan. A two-hour sales pitch when you are remaining someplace for only two nights is a big piece of time. They offered us four different stays, that means approximately eight hours of moderately high-pressure sales! No thanks.
OK, THAT’S IT FOR MY RANT
