Invest less, take a trip more … right?! If you like to make your holiday travel dollar stretch, then like us, you may discover yourself thinking about a vacation plan promotional offer. Know that these promotional vacation bundle business are not at all equivalent.
After the let down of our recent stay at the Cancun all inclusive through Premier Travel Resorts, I simply got off the phone from attempting to reserve the remainder of our vacation bundle with them (a long time in Florida). Let’s simply state that will not be happening. We are just going to forget and consume the cost about it.
From here on out, we will be booking trip plans through BookVIP. Here’s why …
Surely, you have actually seen the Facebook sponsored posts. You will see that it is full of the least expensive getaway plans to some of the most popular destinations if you click over to their site. They have some seriously luxurious looking stays all over the world at some crazy excellent rates.
Our very first ever all inclusive experience was with BookVIP and it was fantastic. Possibly the Dreams ruined us.
One quick note … We have actually just used BookVIP one time, at one luxury resort in Cancun. Reasoning informs me that not every resort getaway bundle is going to supply a similar experience. It actually is all going to boil down to the research study you put in.
Is booking Very Important Person a timeshare?
They don’t advertise the actual name of the resorts. If you truly want to sleuth out the location you will be staying a bit of investigative work on Google to match up the images will expose the real identity of the residential or commercial property you are considering. There was plenty of information on the BookVIP website to help us feel comfy with making our reservation.
What we enjoy about scheduling with BookVIP? You are on your own schedule. No sales calls, no pressure. Book when you have done your research and you are ready. You will understand what you are getting. You understand ahead of time if the dates you want to take a trip are offered. There is time to compare the restaurants and facilities. This is a huge contrast to the marketing trip bundle sales calls I will speak about in the next section.
When you are ready to make your reservation with BookVIP, simply be gotten ready for a couple of extra resort costs and taxes. Our $599 for 5 days/4 nights at a Cancun all inclusive expense around $720 after everything was stated and done. In our case, part of the service charge was to cover tips for the resort personnel. After the experience we had, we found this to be well worth it.
OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS Bookvip Vegas Reviews
In contrast to BookVIP, our experience with Premier Travel Resorts (out of Florida) was not the very best. If this had been our very first experience, we likely would not have participated in another marketing deal. It was that bad.
Are you on the calling lists? After our first promotional resort stay, we started getting call offering trip bundles to various locations. That is how we wound up with a holiday package including our most recent Cancun all inclusive plus a couple brief stays in Florida and elsewhere.
These travel sales calls are always a high-pressure situation unless you simply hang up. Say no enough times and they will keep dropping the rate to where it really sounds like a bargain. It is needed that you do so prior to the end of the phone call if they catch your interest and you decide to purchase. There isn’t much time to look into the vacation homes they are using. You may have a couple of seconds to rapidly pull up some pictures however that has to do with it. A picture deserves a thousand words, however not worth nearly as much as being able to read a couple of reviews.
They drew us in with a stay in Cancun (which is convenient for us because of the proximity to Belize) and some time in Florida (hi, sailboat shopping!). So we pulled the trigger and purchased a plan. However using it, that is an entire various story.
Premier Travel Resorts does not make it easy to actually use the getaway time. There is a lot of fine print that makes travel preparation very challenging and possibly a lot more costly. They do not reveal these information during the sales call.
IF YOU ACQUIRE A HOLIDAY PACKAGE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS, THIS IS WHAT YOU OUGHT TO BE PREPARED FOR …
You can only schedule your dates 45-90 days ahead of time. Okay, reasonable enough.
However, when you contact us to request your favored dates, they need you to fill out a long form requiring all the details that they currently have. You then have to wait about a week to see if your dates are even readily available. Unless your itinerary will only include your stay at their resort, this makes preparing the rest of your travel really inconvenient.
Planning economical flights, or available Airbnb remains in combination with your Premier Travel Resorts holiday package is really tough. In our case, the Airbnb we wished to remain at after our stay at the resort was scheduled by the time Premier Travel Resorts got back to us.
Our package consisted of a stay in Orlando and a remain in Daytona Beach. Premier Travel Resorts requires that those stays be back to back or thirty days apart. So, in our case, using them on either end of a service trip we had prepared was not allowed.
We utilized the Cancun portion of our vacation package, however we won’t be utilizing the rest of it.
THE BAIT AND SWITCH CANCUN ‘ALL INCLUSIVE’ THROUGH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS
The room was dirty, the toilet was cracked, the lights flickered, and that is simply the start. You see, they put us up, not in among the high-end homes that they wished to sell us on, but rather at their ‘cemetary resort’. Seriously, that is what the guys at the good home informed us they called it. Genuine.
Now, to be fair, Laguna Suites wasn’t all bad. The one restaurant that was included in our ‘all inclusive’ (if you overlook the a/c leaking into our food) was actually a good experience. They changed up the menu every night, including foods from different parts of Mexico. And the staff was fantastic. Extremely friendly and accommodating. And really ready to help us with our Spanish.
Once over the shock of the distinction in the kind of location we believed we would be remaining, we took advantage of it. We met some great individuals. Ate some excellent food. Took some good walks on the golf course. And picked up our rental car a couple days early to go off and check out the location.
THE SALES PITCH
Both BookVIP and Premier Travel Resorts require that you participate in a 90-120 minute sales pitch to get their reduced prices. No biggie. We feel like that is worth it.
Premier Travel Resorts, however, requires that you attend a promotional presentation throughout each stay. This is different from what we were informed when they offered us the plan.
OK, THAT’S IT FOR MY RANT
